#4 web 2.0 technology
The thing I like best about Web 2.0 is the participatory nature of it. The way certain elements allow you to use technology to collaboratively build knowledge between people. As someone who has watched my son stuggle through school and then blossum when he found his passion after leaving through collaborative engagement with others, I cannot help but feel that the current education system is failing many of our young people because it does not harness the preferred social interactional apptitudes of our younger generations. If schools could harness the potential of Web 2 technologies we would see a huge change in the way schools manage their learning environments and I'm sure a noticeable difference in student participation.

This is a really good thought! There are now so many resources freely available and so many ways to break down the communication barrier I am surprised it is taking schools so long to adopt these technologies, particularly as their students use them so much in their free time anyway. You make a really good point when you mention that this is their preferred mode of interaction!
