#4 web 2.0 technology
The thing I like best about Web 2.0 is the participatory nature of it. The way certain elements allow you to use technology to collaboratively build knowledge between people. As someone who has watched my son stuggle through school and then blossum when he found his passion after leaving through collaborative engagement with others, I cannot help but feel that the current education system is failing many of our young people because it does not harness the preferred social interactional apptitudes of our younger generations. If schools could harness the potential of Web 2 technologies we would see a huge change in the way schools manage their learning environments and I'm sure a noticeable difference in student participation.

Finally
Well here I am at last. I haven't looked at other posts yet so I am not sure what to tell you.I am in education and very eager to find out how I might use technology for educational purposes.Recently, I viewed 'Connectivism in Plain English' on Youtube - it made me think about all the technologies our students use and the possible implications for learning.
As I am not a natural with technology( I am over fifty ) I'm hoping to benefit from the guidance of this course and am really interested to know why and how my fellow bloggers use Web 2.
I'll sign off now so that I can have a look at what others have blogged.
